Hi
I have an old Kubota B7100 that I have been tarting up. I have repainted it, changed oil, oil filter, fuel filter, fuel filter and replaced air filter. Still to replace gearbox oil.
i have replaced the broken headlights and rear lights and horn. Everything works apart from the indicators, none of which work. Both front and rear indicators obviously each work in one unit with sidelights and wiring has been replaced.
I have not yet checked the connections on the main instrument cluster but as I did not do anything at the cluster for side lights, horn etc, assume that wiring should be ok.
Any advice much appreciated.

I also am having problems getting the steering wheel off, the tractor has been sat for quite a long time and it is also quite old. I have tried hub puller but find the legs of the puller just slip on the steering wheel boss. Any ideas

One other thing that I want to do is to replace the bearings, oil seal in the front axle. When I first got it going there was a grating type noise from front wheel area but for some reason after repaint etc the noise has gone!
How easy is it to replace the bearings in the wheel hub, front axle.
Thanks
John

My guess would be it needs either a flasher or a new switch assembly.

never ever ASSUME ! vermin LOVE to chew and make 'gremlins' !
1st step, get the wiring diagram ! It'll be in the WSM, maybe try www.kubotabooks.com.

could also be a blown fuse, corroded connections, modified wiring........

There are glass fuses under the dash for lighting.

Yes the steering wheels are a beast to get off.
In the past I have made plates that go under the wheel hub to get a better bite, then another trick is to get tension on the puller the a smack on puller bolt will help break it loose.
Soaking it in penetrating lube helps too.

I had to do all three (plus heat/cold) to get mine off intact.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried freeze spray and now have been soaking it in penetrating oil for a week. I will be making up my own puller as well

Thank you for all your responses, much appreciated. Any one renewed the bearings on the front axle, is it a bugger or fairly simple

If your mechanically inclined it's an easy job.
There are 2 different axles depending on which model you have.

I made a plate a little bigger around than the hub, with a slot for the shaft cut to the center, 3/8" plate if I remember.
Then the puller had something solid to grab.

I used a large bearing puller to pull my steering wheel. It did not respond to heat (melty) or penetrant. Even tried tapping holes into the steel and that did not work.

Something like this worked. It fit in the gap between the steering column and the back of the wheel. Took an unnecessary amount of tension to release it.

The flasher relay is accessible with the dash on, it should be held in a rubber grommet/boot that bolts onto the backside of the dash. The switch could be corroded internally if the tractor spends all its days in the weather. Also, if you have LED bulbs in the flasher circuit, the self-driven two post flashers that come stock will not work. You'll need an electronic flasher with a ground - the dash grounds through the steering column so make sure the column and backside of the dash are clean of corrosion when you reinstall.
