Hello everyone, have a question, just picked up a G4200 and had some PTO belts that were fairly new partially strip at the end of a mow. Decided to pull the ilder pully because it was sticking and clean out the old caked grease. Also noticed the PTO boss pulley was loose so ordered a replacement and noticed the part has changed. The old part had discontinued but Messicks had another part as an option....The new pulley has a longer collar and doesn't clear the c clip location on the PTO see pics. The new pulley is also tighter and seems like it needs to be pressed on. Does anyone have experience with this and can offer advice on installing it? Many thanks!

I would call Messicks and discuss it with them. The cover that bolts to the tractor might need to be replaced also for the new part to work or the shaft might need to be replaced with a new part.

If you replace the shaft and that drive boss your PTO pulleys will never line up in that configuration. I'd lop it off and keep mowing. Either cut it down or have a shop turn it down to match.
