I was watching the GP outdoor YouTube channel where it was mentioned that the output shaft on the "K connect" system can slide forward if the set screws on the flange bearings become loose. Apparently when this happens the main drive shaft can disconnect from the output shaft spline and cause the main shaft to flail around causing damage. I looked at my assembly manual and I can see that the output shaft connects to the short front drive shaft. If the rear joint of this drive shaft is pushed forward enough, I can see how the main drive shaft front spline could disconnect. The assembly manually clearly states that red Loctite is to be applied to the set screws on the output shafts two flange bearings. I assembled my "K connect" myself and applied the red Loctite but am wondering if some were not done properly if assembled by the dealer as most are. I would guess that this might apply to similar units of 'K connects"
In light of this I am considering putting something on my output shaft that would make a noise if it moved forward. I am not at location now but maybe even a hose clamp might do the trick.
