I went to the mail box, and all the usual junk for this time of year. And in the bundle was a flyer from the big K. And like a kid looking at a new SEARS catalog ( us old guys will understand ) I thumbed through it , and they listed all the deals,, from the BX on up. Though the B series was noticeably missing, BX, LX and on up. Sooooo it made me wonder is the B going to go the way of the Edsel ?

@skeets Thanks for the trip down mammory lane.

As far as the B, I sort of thought the entry level-ish LX are what I am familiar with a B2650. I could be wrong, maybe features are different or something but I think very similar size weight and capability. So I think my current B is now identifying as LX.

Not according to Kubota's website. They list five B series models.

The “B series” was something that I was certain never to attain when I was in high school because of a certain lack of interest, not that I was stupid I suppose. it was probably due to age, if nothing else…

So with respect to both a B and a BX, at the end of the day, I think it’s just a matter of semantics. There will certainly be equivalent tractors to replace them if that particular namesake is put to sleep.

So in the end, I think it matters not…
