I was very interested in good companies that produce quality implements and the latest news that EA was possibly back in bussiness however after I read through the recent posts I choose not to buy from them

I have a question then being very new to Kubota tractors/ farm implements.

It was stated in the above that "Plenty of other great products besides EA who actually communicates with and respects their customers."

Could ya'll give some recommendations on such ?

I am gun shy looking at EA and others such as Iron Craft/Titan. I recently bought a 5'tiller from a tractor dealer in my area and was told that Titan and IC were the same. Doing some research I discover that IC/Titan are made in the USA.....NOT !!!!! The Tillers are made in India. When I called IC/Titan they told me that was correct and they are built to their specs and they are the same heavy duty, high quality items that are made in the USA. It was just a name change. Same prodduct.

I called Messick's in Lancaster PA figuring they would know if I got ripped and spoke to a gentleman who also thought and was under the impression that this company produced implements made in the US

Why can't companies be up front with their customers ? Why can't companies like EA be up front and get back to their customers ? After all this is good for everyone when they do this.

It does appear that this tiller is very well built, heavy duty as they said, the paint is probably the best I have seen as well as the welds all over however it's the thing that it's not made in the USA that gets me. Maybe it's just me.

I am looking at buying a few other things and as said before, I am upset that you literally have to pull teeth to get the facts. Hopefully you guy's have some ideas of who to buy from.

My thoughts are if a list is complied as to who to give our hard earned mony to this will get the attention of those companies who are not on this list and in the end will benefit the consumer.

I bought Land Pride. I don't need the very best or very strongest with my L2501HST.

I've had little issues. I had one blade on my grader scraper break a weld. I just welded it back. YMMV, but I like that Land Pride right size to tractor size.

Frontier, the green ones that Deere dealers sell are also supposed to be good.

Thank you so muh for your reply. I don't need the very best either.

I figured as my father would always say years ago you get what you pay for. I have not always followed his advice and have paid the price.... maybe I would have only had to buy once instead of twice had I bought things made here.

I know Catawba (https://cattachments.com/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAA9Xl0oBVhbUAbprd9DrJjNmjwPj2W) is allegedly made in the U.S. Close enough if I bought something from them it would be a day trip for me to go pick it up. But I don’t have any of their stuff so no direct experience. Additional generalities: Rhino, Bush Hog, Land Pride, Woods.

Partly depends on what you’re looking to buy. I have stuff from Howse, Leinbach, IH, Farmi, Woodland Mills, IMD, Tar River, Land Pride, Unlimited Fabrication; maybe something I’m forgetting. I don’t think there’s one manufacturer that I could have sourced everything from even if I had tried.

If you have a specific list of things you’re looking for, you may get more specific answers on good options.

Will look at these , Thank you. Never heard of a few.
Check out Good WorksTractor Co. Courtney has a good range of implements from good manufacturers. He has lots of videos on his YouTube channel where he review many implements.

Land Pride has different levels of equipment which I like and I have quite a few or their products along with a bunch of others.

All I can say is wow, you sure have a lot of knowledge like the others here. Also a lot of different implements ...lol.

I have never heard of the vast majority and am glad I asked this question. Now, I have a lot to look at to decide on my next purchases which more then likely be a brush hog and forks.

I have been very happy with Homestead Implements. Also, there were 2 different Titan companies, one was junk, one decent. The decent one changed its name to Ironcraft.

Never buy new unless you really need it. Craigslist is your friend. Cheaper on the wallet. Farm kind is solid. Just do your research on what your considering buying.

The Titan I have was the one chaged to Iron Craft. I had them check the serial # to be sure. I guess if they are made to Iron Craft specs and have the same warranty and as the person I spoke to they fully stand behind it then I guess it doesn't really matter if it was made there.

After thinking about it the Kubota isn't made in the US and I am very happy with mine.

I know this is heresy, but I've owned 2 different King Kutter rough cut mowers. I've used them hard and they've been trouble free.

I have looked on CL and it appears that the vast majority of tillers were pretty high and well used. I bought a new left over from last year) for what I thought was a pretty good price.

Not much more then the ones at CL, not used/abused and with warranty. You are probably right but one has to sort through a lot of adds and only know what the seller wants you to know

Sometimes it goes that way. Just be a smart shopper. I picked up a 6 foot 3 point rear blade, farm king, for $200 bucks. Right place at the right time. Got lucky. Have only bought 1 new item, a snow pushers, since getting my 1880. My other 8 attachments have been used from CL.

My forks are Unlimited Fabrication (https://www.rootgrapple.com/). I’ve been quite pleased with their quality and performance. They’re local to me so they had the bonus that I called them one morning, stopped by to pick them up on my lunch hour, and went back to work with them in the back of my truck. Most of their business is online, though. I would definitely require forks that are width adjustable and look for forks rated for full capacity of your loader plus some, but not much over loader capacity. Just an opinion.

My rotary cutter is an old as dirt Howse 500 I inherited. It’s a lightweight economy model that looks like it fell off a truck on the interstate and rolled down a mountainside, but it still works. While that’s what I own, I’ve run Rhino, Woods, and Bush Hog. I’ve never run one that was “bad”. They all make lightweight models for mowing grass, briars, weeds, small saplings, etc. as would be expected in established fields that are mowed only occasionally. They all also make heavier duty models for rougher duty. You can get a good idea of heavy duty v light duty based on sapling size rating. A light duty rotary cutter is still quite heavy duty compared to most finish mowers.

IMO, about anything will mow grass and weeds, and if you buy a heavy duty cutter when you only need a light duty it’s just a waste of money. Of course, again, that’s just an opinion and YMMV.

I've used Terra Force forks and bale spear, and they seemed to be pretty good. They have a website, but I think they are set up for dealers. They also list grapples, tillers, and snow blowers; I don't know where any of it is made.

I have a Homestead Pinnacle series Box Blade that I am very happy with the quality. They have a Veteran discount as well. They shipped it within their stated "build time", but I know that people are leery of the "pay up front, then wait" business model,.....

..... which works well, until it doesn't. (but as long as I am within my CC dispute time frame, I'm good personally)

My HLA grapple has worked very well too.

The rest of my implements are Land Pride, and they seem to be well built as well.

One thing to consider when making a purchase of an expensive implement is parts and service. If you buy a tiller made in some foreign country are repair and wear parts readily available? That is the most important question in my opinion. If something internal should break on your new tiller does the selling dealer stock parts? If not then the sweetness of the deal will go sour if you have to wait to get the part from some far-off land.
Back in the 1970s I owned a Fiat car that was rear-ended. I couldn't get a replacement bumper for the car since the importer Rosevelt Motors stopped importing cars and parts. They went belly up and all the Fiat dealers dropped the franchise. The value of that car plummeted to just about scrap value. The same happened with Yugo. You couldn't get repair parts and even though the paint looked good along with the price when they broke you were SOL!
If you purchase a Landpride product it is made in the USA and they are owned by Kubota. The Kubota dealers stock many wear parts and should you need to replace a broken internal part, you can usually have it in a week or two if it isn't stocked by the dealership.
