How to lock lift arms L4240

Hi all,
Having trouble finding any way to lock my lift arms in place. According to my manual, the open/close (fast/slow) adjuster just under the seat should have a lock function too. It is not marked with lock and I cannot get any position that does the job. I have also read that some models have a valve switch under the seat but, yet again, not in my case.
I am trying to tow a static caravan and it currently seesaws without any form of lock!....not safe.
Anyone got any ideas? It is a UK supplied tractor.

my old 4240 did not come with the optional draft control which would would provide the changes needed to keep pull constant and level..... does yours have this option? around these parts draft control on tiny tractors is rare.

the knob under the seat is not draft control. That knob is for speed control for speeding up or slowing down the drop based on implement weight. This knob does have a lock position which is when its turned fully clockwise but given that tractor is now into its 2nd decade of life this valved lock may not be a solid as it was when once new as stuff leaks as they age.

Your not supposed to use the three point to tow a caravan!
There have drawbar hitches for a reason.

Now if you insist on using the three point you need to manually lock it down to the drawbar with a chain as there is no valve that will lock the three point from lifting on it's own, it's a floating hitch.
The side to side sway you will need to set the sway links tight to eliminate that sway.

Turning the knob all the way to the slowest position is the lock position. BUT that locks it from going any lower under load.

I believe what you want is to lock the three point from moving either up or down. That is not what the three point is designed to be capable of.

Do you have a drawbar? You might be able to use that if you have a long tongue on the trailer.

I have seen methods to chain the arms to the drawbar and then lift the arms to tighten the chains. That would make the arms locked in one position unless you lowered the arms accidentally.
