So I have this big ole heavy 5ft Woods box blade that is a bear to get mounted to the back of my B2620. I use it alot as I have 0.6mi of gravel driveway to maintain. I am getting older and the struggle to mount and dismount was getting to be more than I wanted. I even picked up a yard sale digging bar that I stored with the box blade to help lever it around.

A quick hitch would be nice but few of my hodge podge assortment of attachments are compatible. I kept daydreaming about what it would be like if the box blade was hanging in the air and could be swung and tilted as needed to align it during mounting and dismounting. Then I recently found an old chain swivel hanger assembly in my pile of random crap that is like what you might see holding a boxing heavy bag and the light went off!

I welded some eyes onto the box blade and with a few S hooks, I was in business. Now mounting and dismounting the box blade is effortless.

Very practical, just be sure your hardware is strong enough to keep it hanging and the attachment to the trees are anchored well.

Ingenious. Smart people are able to find solutions. Glad you have something to make work less like work!

D2cat - thanks for the advice. I'll go out there and change out the paper-mache and paperclip I am currently using for appropriately sized chains and lag bolts. Gotta love you internet trolls...

Tactor Gal - thanks. I like DIY, inexpensive projects that make life easier. Maybe this will inspire others in the same situation to adopt a similar solution.

I like this setup so much that I am already brainstorming a way to do something similar (but way beefier) for my bush hog that is equally a handful to put on and take off the tractor.
