Gum in fuel tank

I have 5 diesel powered Kubota implements. My RTV is about 10 years old and I have had to clean the diesel fuel tank twice to remove a white gummy residue that accumulates around the fuel outlet inside the tank. The fuel filter on the tank outlet is not clogged. I have not had this problem on any of the other diesel powered machines. All of these implements are stored in covered sheds, but they are all exposed to temperature changes, anywhere from 15 F to 100 F. Is there an additive I can add to the fuel to prevent this?

I think what you might be seeing is the wax separating from the diesel fuel. Try treating your fuel and see if that helps. There are several threads on here about fuel treatment and we all have our favorite. With the temp swings you are talking about, having the fuel gel is possible.

In addition, with those temp swings you could be getting water in there. A good diesel additive should help with both gelling and water.
