I was swapping out the glow plugs and I broke one of the glow plug cords. The cords link the glow plugs. I know that some glow plugs are linked by one piece. The
The Kubota dealer said it will be 5 business days before the new cords come in.

I broke one of them. I would really like to use the tractor to put hay out. Should i get a piece of Copper wiring and use that temporarily in place of the broken cord? Should I tape over the end of the glow plug that is missing the cord? I think if you are on the right side of the tractor looking at the engine the cord that broke is from the 2 to the third glow plug from the right....there are 4 glow plugs. Thanks for your help.

Just use a piece of copper wire. Try to use a piece of solid wire from household wiring (romex) of similar size to the existing wire. Just be sure it is floating in air and can’t touch anything else that would ground it. You can leave the insulation on most of it but make sure it doesn’t get too hot and start melting. I think the amperage will be within the wires range.

You're in Florida. You should be able to start the engine on three of the four glow plugs. Just rearrange the cords so the first three in the series are connected leaving just the one glow plug non-functional for now.

HAHAHA, It's a 6 cylinder, so try 5 of 6. 😉

I hope there are 6 glow plugs, being that it's a 6 cylinder engine.
