Found a solution today to a problem which I have encountered before and according to a google search I am not alone: Fuel leaking from the filter housing after a filter change. Did not order a new large o ring with the service kit maybe that would have solved the problem. It would seem the groove to locate the o ring is formed by the filter on the inside diameter and by the screw on filter bowl on the outer diameter. The groove is not deep enough to hold the o ring in place until the filter housing is screwed back on and the non restrained o-ring may end up in a position where it leaks. The solution: fit the o-ring on the outside of the filter BEFORE pressing the filter fully home inside the filter bowl. The filter bowl is then screwed on to the filter housing and the filter will be pushed home in the bowl in the process, with the o-ring in the correct position. This worked for me hope it is of use in the wider community.
