Newbie here, blowing snow today and noticed all of a sudden front wiper started to slow down, then stop, then start back up normal then slow stop etc. Wondering if motor is getting bad. Can't seem to find a breakdown of how to replace or check. Any Ideas. thanking you in advance

You didn't say what type of motor you have, but most likely it is losing its ground or there is a voltage drop in the line somewhere. If it is the motor that I am thinking of, the switch is built into the motor, so you would have to remove the wiper and put it on the bench to do proper testing of the motor. I suggest that you take a picture of the motor and any labels that might be on it and post it to this thread.

If it's as cold there as here, it might be frozen grease in the wiper gearbox.
Easy to test..get tractor into a shed, put hairdryer on it to get case of wiper unit very warm to touch, now turn it on. If it works like new , it was the grease.
If that isn't it, you'll have to remove, bring into a nice warm shop, try the electrical test, and if that fails tear it down and see what's going on.

Check your linkage for something loose or broken
It is a direct drive from the motor to the wiper arm. On the inside, the armature has a spiral cut at the end of the armature shaft that turns a disk that moves a flat piece of the linkage connected to the wiper spline. Difficult to explain in words, but the only piece of linkage is a small arm with a pin in it that connects to the disc to determine the amount of sweep the arm has. There is very little grease in the drive mechanism to bind up and stop the motor from spinning.
