Fried my fuse link

I installed my battery backwards, never did that before, basically fired something downstream and now it’s totally dead. Any idea where I can start to replace what I fried? It’s totally dead now no lights, no plugs nothing.

There is (hopefully) a fusible link near the battery or the alternator that blew out.

Follow the wires from the alternator down to the main harness area and look for a loop of wire that is plugged into a connector. See below.

This is what it looks like but it may be wrapped up in black tape

You should check your alternator as well. The rectifier diodes may get fried and when you run the engine then the alternator stator winding gets roasted too (if it is not already).

So disconnect the alternator and check with an Ohmmeter if the alternator is conducting now from plus to minus,.then it is faulty.
