I have a Kubota B3200 HST. Great tractor , always has been. Seems to be fine at an idle, but now, suddenly there is excessive exhaust smoke on throttling up. Thoughts ???? thanks in advance.

Does it clear up once you get to RPM and/or speed?

check the air filter
FYI....
Well I checked the air filter and could not believe my eyes. The entire filter was completely wrapped in straw, fiberglass and every other damn thing you could imagine. Plus there was a dead mouse inside the air filter housing right at the end of the intake.
Like my father used to say, "when in doubt read the directions"...
lugbolt you were correct as verified by my owners manual..................................thanks.
I took a couple pictures now lets see if I can post them.

Holy smokes! (no pun intended)

@lugbolt definitely called that one. He's worked on a lot of these machines over the years.

Always good to start with the simple stuff.....glad you found what appears to be a simple solution.

Note to self - - I check my air filter a couple times per year - - time to do that..... ;)

I've seen much worse, believe me. Had one show up that wouldn't start, period. As the owner was trying to get it to crank up, I watched the intake hose collapse. Filter was completely plugged, and it was all chaff, from mowing. 100% plugged.
