Hello. Just got planting today and already starting to tear my hair out.

I have an old L5030 GST (rops) that's a real workhorse around our farm. Today while working it briefly showed "Neutral Shuttle" a few times (while still operating) like it does when you try to start in gear. Then later idling after several hours of work it died and it won't start back up. No turn over or anything, but the panel still worked.

Didn't display PTO shuttle or neutral shuttle or beep like it normally would for safety starting features. Seat switch is bypassed. The mid-PTO indicator is lit up (no other indicators light up except oil pressure and battery obviously), which is strange because the tractor doesn't have one. I crawled under and checked where the mid PTO safety sensor would be and it still looked good and professionally/ factory bypassed.

Swapped out the MAIN fuse (didn't see a OPC fuse on the fuse diagram in WSM) and checked and it WOULD crank if I jumped the starter but not fire/ start. Presumably the fuel pump's not getting power?

Anyway then when I was starting to look more at some of the harnesses and the whole intelliboard and indicators quit out. Probably knocked something loose I hope? Battery's still good though. Blerg.

I see the manual has a step-by-step on checking through fuses and wiring but it's frankly a mess on this old thing. Any tips or places to check before I start the slog? Or at least anyone know how to bypass all the safety sensors so I can rule those out/ get it to potentially start and drive up to the shop so I don't have to do it all in the field. Thanks!

To get it to the shop, remove the stop solenoid.
2 nuts, and just put a piece of tape over the hole, It will just splash a little oil if you don't.
Then jump the starter and it will run.
Activate lever #100 to stop it.

My man! Took off the solenoid, got it up the hill. First bit of wiring I checked was bad. Repaired them, replaced the two fuses it blew (50amp MAIN on the front/ battery side box and whatever the 7.5amp is on the console box), and she's back running smooth as ever. Just in time for the sun to come back out. Commenting from the drivers seat right now. 4000 kales, collards, and cabbage in the ground an counting.

"Running with the pack," indeed!

Glad to hear you got it out of field and got it back up and running!
