I have a rtv x900 diesel I use on my farm. I believed the glow plugs were not working. I tested them and had resistance on all three. Checked my fuses and all are good. I was going to replace the plugs anyway, but my dealer said they seldom have the glow plugs go bad. Instead, they said there is a relay or “timer” that is the usual culprit. Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you.

According to the schematic, the x900 doesn't have a timer and only gets preheat in the glow position, unlike most Kubotas that also get heat in the start position. Check that the plugs get power in the glow position (spring).

I'm was pretty sure that they do get glow in crank too.
But the WSM say that they do not, rather odd.

There is no relay, timer or fuse on the glow circuit on that model.
When you go to preheat is the indicator on the dash lighting?
If it is you have a wiring issue between the main switch and the Glow plugs.

If your not getting as dash light on preheat you more than likely have a bad switch.
