Does anyone have any first-hand experience with this item? I found a used one that is inexpensive locally, just don't know if it is worth buying. I think that it might make fall leaf cleanup a little easier.

Dusty,

I DO NOT HAVE 1st hand ........... but I will add this. IF you are loading up "stuff" that is lightweight, leaves, small branches, or even mulch, AND you get this for a song - I would say do it!!!!!

This item weighs about 50 pounds - so you have decreased the max lift already, BUT if you are trying to hold more of something that is lightweight and the cost is right - I would say it would be a win.

I am not sure the quickness of placing on or removal - that may be a factor, or even the storage or it could be a problem.

What price are you looking at buying?

I didn't see what you were referring to, but I had the shop make one of these years ago for the B7500 I had. This picture was taken with the L3200 to give another guy an idea of the scale. It bolted in the bucket with a few on each side and several on the bottom. It was made of 10GA galvanized sheet metal and I could press it down hard enough to raise the front of the B7500 off the ground. It was useful for doing the mulch in Spring. If the pile of mulch got rained on, the FEL had trouble picking a full scoop.

I picked up a used BXpanded bucket expander locally and it has led a hard, abusive life. I intend to fix it enough to get it to fit properly and work as intended. As you can see from the pictures, it will take a bit of "persuasion" to get it back into shape. I am considering using my torch to heat the metal to make it somewhat easier. I also have been thinking about grinding out the welds to get the worst side off and hammering it straight on my anvil. Thoughts on how you would proceed. Thanks Dusty
