The set screws on the bearing collars on my new BX2751 quick hitch were loose after a couple uses of the snowblower . My friend who is a millwright recommends blue Loctite .That sounds correct to me . Some advise from the members of OTT would be appreciated

Blue thread locker will work. You could also go one step further and clean the threads with brake kleen before loctite and maybe tighten them once and take a small punch and center it inside the hex and smack it with a hammer and tighten once again.
