BX2380 LA344 Stand pops off circle clip

I bought my tractor from craigslist this past April. It is a 2018 model.

When I remove the FEL from my BX2380, the stand pops off the boom. The circle clip that holds it on pops off. It looks like the tech that assembled it must have bent the arm on the stand when putting it together. I'm curious what is the best way to fix it.

Place FEL back on - get a "C" clamp and hold the broken C clip spot in place and then take bar clamp or something to force the welded end back to what does not look 90 degrees at this time.

Do not forget the circle clip has a right and a wrong way to go on.

Put on the wrong way it will come off under pressure.

Kubota manuals draw Owners' attention to this important detail.

If a snap ring has come off, it is likely the edge of the groove where it seats is now damaged.

Sometimes, using a thin flat file you can create a new ring groove face to bear against.

When I installed the AI2 Quick Attach, I also noticed some misalignment on the right side and I had to use a clamp. However, the snap ring has never come off by itself. Like Dave says, the orientation of the snap ring might make a difference, plus in your case, I would get a new snap ring since it is probably damaged by now. Make sure that there are no burrs in the snap ring groove.

From your original picture the orange flat bar looks "straight" - but it does NOT look 90 degrees to the floor mounted piece, can you confirm that it is as it should be? I would assume that it is 90 degrees - what does the other side look like?

Interesting. Looking at the parts for the stand using Messick's part system, even though the parts are on the diagram, they do not show a part number for the snap ring nor for the washer (items 210, 230, 250, 270)

I did finally get this fixed. I removed the stand and put the crossbar on top of some 2x4s and parked the front wheel on top of it so that the crooked arm was next to the tire. I then attached a pipe wrench near the point that needed to be straightened, in this case, on the arm near the crossbar. I put a 2-ton floor jack under the wrench handle and applied upward pressure. It took a couple of tries, but it did bend back into shape. It wasn't perfect, but it doesn't pop the snap ring off anymore.

What size is the e clip on the La 344? I'm having similar issues.
