Hi, Hoping for some insight on the below as i'm quite stumped;
BX23 (2003, 1400 hrs)
It was running fine, but parked outside for 2 months over the winter.
Went to start it and it was hard starting (not unusual), but then when it did start it would not throttle and would not turn off.
I used a screwdriver to lift the lever on the left side of the engine (next to the throttle lever) to turn it off.
Checked the fuses and these look ok, but replaced them anyway.
Got a new Kubota shut off solenoid, drained all the old fuel, replaced the fuel filters but that still didn't work.
It's still starting hard and when it does start, the throttle doesn't get the engine to rev up. I checked the throttle and it is indeed lifting / releasing the lever next to the engine block so I know it's not the cable.
Still won't turn off, so still had to left the latch to turn off.
Really not sure what to try next. Would greatly appreciate any thoughts.
