I know how to remove and reattach, but looking to see if anyone has figured out an easier way. Like maybe driving up on ramps on the front. Or using the front loader, I have the LA211, to raise the front up, or what ever. Looking to see if anyone has a good quick procedure to remove and reattach.
Will be doing a good portion of box blade and loader work real soon.
thanks

I had a BX2230, largely the same as the BX220. We changed over from belly mower to 3 point operation often as I never liked either mowing with the FEL and a 3 pt contraption mounted or doing loader/implement work with the deck snagging just about everything.

The changeover got easier and faster with practice. It became a job that only took a few minutes and could be done as often as necessary, so that's my first suggestion. If you avoid doing it, it will always be a challenge.

The other suggestion is parking on a solid, flat surface when installing or removing the deck. Much easier getting things lined up.

I would always follow this sequence for attaching the deck:
1. Roll the deck under the tractor from the right side. It just clears the tires with maybe a little nudge to the tractor (engine off, in neutral, hard surface).
2. Attach the PTO collar. This was always the hardest part for me because the collar on my deck would never stay retracted so you could slide it on the spline.
3. Drop the rear lift arms into position on the deck and secure the pins. You have to have the mowing height knob adjusted to its lowest position (I think that's correct - it has been a few years).
4. Attach the front bracket.
5. Reset the rollers to face forward instead of sideways

The owners manual probably mentions something I have forgotten, but this is basically the way I did it hundreds of times over the years.

I've never driven up on ramps to put the mower on.

I have raised the bucket, snug the MMM up to the wheels, lower the FEL to raise the wheels, roll the MMM under, lower the wheels to the floor. I do it this way outside on an unpaved surface. I never mow with the FEL on so I take the FEL off, an added thing to do.

Since I have a nice concrete floor in the garage I just usually just "slide" the MMM under the tractor. You can get a little more room if you turn the front wheels to the left. I don't bother turning the rollers, takes more time, seems to slide right under with a little effort.

As Gendad4 said raise the lift arms all the way up, set the cut height to the lowest setting, get the MMM in position, etc. etc.

thanks guys, Grandad4, I'm with you, the pto seems to be the hardest part. Maybe with more work, it will be easier. Bee-postive, I have a large pole barn with concrete floor, i'll remove it there. Need to figure out a storage location, maybe stand it on its side.
Love this little 2200, its a 2003 model but still working like a champ. My wife even like mowing with it and she was hesitant to drive it. Already done a few projects with this tractor and its been a real help.
