BX1870 won't move

I went out to plow this morning and I made two passes down my driveway and when I tried to back up it was very slow. It was also slower than normal going forward.

When I got back to the top of the driveway I couldn't go in reverse at all and I could hardly move forward. I moved the gear selector from high to neutral to low and back several times and I engaged and disengaged the 4WD several times as well and nothing seemed to help.

I've checked the hydraulic fluid levels and they seem fine. The treadle peddle doesn't have much resistance when I move it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

any chance pedal linkage is disconnected from the HST unit ?

I know nothing about the 1870 but some nuts fall off others so rod isn't connected.

Many folks are using self-locking nuts to prevent this from happening again.

Glad it was something simple.

This seems to be a frequently recurring theme here.

Sounds like an item to put on the engine oil or hydraulic oil change checklist.
