I have a kubota BX 2350 and just installed my curtis cab(finally) I need some help/ advice to hook up the heater to my coolant lines. Any help would be appreciated as far as what size T connections are needed and the best way to do it. I have read that you need to tap into the thermostat hose and the bottom radiator hose but I can't seem to find schematic to do this anywhere online.

Any help would be appreciated Thanks. Eric

we have Curtis cabs with heaters on our tractors at work. I'll check on Monday and get back to you.

I checked our tractors today for the heater hose hook-up.
One hose goes from the thermostat housing, then there is a valve in the line to shut off the water flow during warm months. This hose then goes to the heater. It leaves the heater box and returns to the lower radiator hose.

I made my own cab as well. I am about to hook up my heater as too. I like what tcroat did. What do you think of using the water pump bypass and plumbing it into the upper radiator hose. After all that bypass hose is there for minimum flow. If you keep it that way in the summer I would think the extra flow going into the radiator. would help keep the engine cool. We had lots of pumps at work that the recirculating line was 1/3 of the capacity of the pump. Kubota are known for running hot. The rest of the machine is designed very well. Maybe this is a design flaw?

Now that I think about it. the old s-10 pickups used the bypass hose to the heater core and a lot of them went into the top of radiator.

I hooked it up from the bottom of the thermostat to the top radiator hose. I store my kubota in a heated garage. The engine never got up to temperature. It was 30 degrees out. This shouldn't have been a problem at this temp. Needless to say I will be hooking it up into the water pump bypass lines, as soon as the parts come in. I would hook it up as recommended by Curtis but I don't want a shut off valve in my system.
