My M7040HDC is burning off the coolant pump/AC compressor/cooling fan belt. It will run about 15 minutes then I smell burning rubber, then shortly afterwards, the belt has burned in two. I suspect that it may be the AC compressor locking up. Any ideas? Thanks

maybe this simple test... remove belt, engine OFF !, spin the A/C comp pulley. Is it easy ? good. if not , bad news.

Could be the water pump, idler, or A/C compressor.
Normally The A/C will only effect it when it's running so if it's doing it not running I would be looking at the other 2.

Stay with OEM design….(Part-number interchangeability, V-design, Cog, etc)… And don’t use off-brand V-belts. OEM, NAPA, GATES, GOODYEAR, DAYCO/DAYTON, etc.
