New here. Purchased a new L2501f and it came without the brush guard. I've found a new old stock for a L4060 and wondered if it would fit my L2501f. I can't seem to find if it's the same part number. Tractor came w/o FEL as I didn't need it (have a L2800 w/FEL). Using the L2501f for finish mowing 7-8 acres and have some places a brush guard would come in handy for limbs and such. Will add a screened guard over the front guard after installing.

Any info would be helpful...

Tks...

Finding the part number for brush guards can be found grouped with the front loader parts. I looked up parts for the LA525 which my L2501hst has and came up with this.

Not knowing what loader the donor guard from the L4060 had I am only guessing it was a LA805.

That being said it looks as if the two guards have different part numbers and more than likely will not interchange onto your L2501F. Out of curiosity what
features does the F denote compared to a L2501hst?

L2501F = 2 wheel drive with Ag or turf tires (no R4) also, manual transmission (no HST)... as far as I know...

The L4060 is a Grand L and as such is much bigger frame than the L2501 - How are you at fabricating and/or welding? Making an adapter plate, flat steel to match the hook up point of the L2501 then a couple offset bars to weld another flat steel plate to bolt on the bigger L4060 grill guard.

You are right about the specs on the "F" model... 2wd, 8 forwards and 4 reverse, ag tires... a plain old B flat tractor :)
I could possibly make the L4060 guard work but it's about 5-6 hour drive just to look at it and decide then compare that with what's on a L2501/2 at my local Kubota dealer. I think I'll just be careful for a while until one shows up somewhere.

I have a question about a rear work light but I'll start a new post for that.

Thanks for the replys !!!
