That would drive the cost up for buyers who are not using the tractor for mowing. Would also leave a bunch of dangly bits to get damaged.I really appreciate the parts listing. I think I am just going to sell the deck, I will never understand why Kubota doesn't just outfit their tractors with the some of these things but I guess it's just how it is. Thanks again.
I guess the benefit would be to encourage easy add-ons, I owned two BX's and swear both had the arms and front mount and arms, factory installed and I didn't have a deck. Just seemed so weird to not having it on a higher end modelThat would drive the cost up for buyers who are not using the tractor for mowing. Would also leave a bunch of dangly bits to get damaged.
Probably the reason is that most people who buy a BX intend to have a mid mount mower. This isn’t the case for larger machines.I guess the benefit would be to encourage easy add-ons, I owned two BX's and swear both had the arms and front mount and arms, factory installed and I didn't have a deck. Same thing just happened with my Kubota K008-3 mini excavator. You read the ad page, it's got auxiliary hydraulics right from the factory. Then I went to use them, oh wait a second you thought the two ports meant it was 2 way hydraulics, which is required on every implement except a breaker, and it's a costly add on. Don't get me wrong I have a fortune invested, it just makes a lot of things more painful. Like saying you a third function valve, then learning it can only push forward not backwards.
No doubt the needed mounting hardware was left with the POs LX2610 when he sold it.I have a LX2610 and saw an ad from a guy selling a 1 year old RCK60-30BB mower that he had one LX2610. Bought it, and was sure to get the shaft and front arm mount that I thought was supposed to come with it.
Got home, took a look under my LX2610 and...well nothing. I don't see the arms that are supposed to lower and connect with the mower on the back. Looking around I also dont see a front mount either.
I use this machine with the factory front blower without issues but the mount is different.
Sadly I have a feeling this is a big mistake I have made and mowing won't be in my future. It doesn't even look like the 2610 has a place to hang the mower from.
Can anyone offer advice short of just giving up on this one. I know these mowers are already not too liked. but I thought this would be perfect to mow a few trails in a field with, using the cab. Think I blew its trying to now spend $4k on a new deck
I agree, there must be an install kit but at this point I was already not loving it due to the mower dropping with the 3pt hitch. But it's a solid deck and some people on the BXs will have the hardware and can just use it. The LX is obviously not popular I guess for mowing. I already listed it for sale, it's an ungodly thing new, $3600 now, plus whatever the the LX install costs. So hopefully I will just get my money back. I will probably buy an older Kubota 4WD mower, which I see from time to time for $4k-6k and being dedicated makes it a lot more convenient,No doubt the needed mounting hardware was left with the POs LX2610 when he sold it.
Buying all of the needed mounting hardware separately though the parts department is cost prohibitive.
Without the needed hardware, you cannot mount the mower.
Might want to unload the mower to someone else and cut your losses.
FWIW, the Kubota terrain following MMM decks used with B and similar Kubota tractors are very, very good decks, much more versatile than are the suspended decks used with the BX series tractors. I've had two, still have one, and consider these decks the best MMM decks offered by anyone.
I called a dealer, and they don't sell a kit for the LX. She said 99% of mowers come from the factory on machines and if you want it on an LX you have to buy the 230 parts required. I took a quick look, in addition to the nightmare of putting them on, the cost is over $1200. I guess this is what Kubota wants. Fortunately that deck fits many other machines some of which they have kits for so I will just sell it. What a shame really. They charge $4k for a deck with is nuts on its own but then make it near impossible to install? I don't get this one at all.I have no clue what the hardware costs, but betting it's steep.
That said, you're 90% of the way there.
I can certainly understand divorcing yourself of the deck, or going the extra mile to make it work.
Ultimately, your choice, and that's all that matters.
For what it's worth, your BX mower lift also moved the 3 point hitch lift arms if you had them on the tractor.
The one dent I have on my truck was due to mowing with my BX next/close to my truck. Lifted the deck and Quick Hitch caught my box, right in front of the rear bumper......![]()
A lot of those tractors are sold in bid situations, you can not compete selling a unit with all of the extras that may never be needed against a unit with out the extras.I really appreciate the parts listing. I think I am just going to sell the deck, I will never understand why Kubota doesn't just outfit their tractors with the some of these things but I guess it's just how it is. Thanks again.

As previously said, the terrain following MMM decks used with the B and similar series tractors are superb.Bite the bullet. An extra $1,200 isn't likely to bankrupt most working people. Don't be too hard on yourself, you will love mowing with that set up.
No LX tractor comes from the factory with a mid-mount mower; the tractor itself is on a shipping pallet. She said 99% of mowers come from the factory on machines
