B7100 (none HST) Seized hydraulic filter nut, and broken gear

Hi all

Hope all is doing well and having amazing year start

I have some noise when do I g reverse in my B7100 (non HST), and expected some worn gear in the gear box

today was my first attempt ever in tractor split, all went well except I was unable to remove the hydraulic filter (bottom of gear box), seems the nut is stripped; any ideas to help in removal?

also, I removed the gearbox cover, and based on initial inspection, I saw torn gear; as in the picture, any body knows part number ?

I assume that you are in the country Jordan, not in the USA. So you can’t access the illustrated parts list at Kubota USA, but perhaps there is a website that Kubota has for your geographical region. You may be able to see Messicks illustrated parts lists to locate the part number.

As far as the stripped bolt(?), you can try to grab it with pliers and pull it as you turn it to get it out.

Post a picture of the problem and more ideas will be posted.

I 'think' these may be the tranny gears ( from Canada website B7100...)
If so, pick a picture and number for the gear and I'll see what part number it is.....
I suspect the 'gurus of gears' will KNOW without looking !!

There are three gear possibilities depending on serial number.

Think a guy can still buy that from Kubota? You might need to order it from a bone yard? A little voice speaks to me that you're gonna find other problems so best to tear it down completely and start making up your shopping list.

On your filter/strainer is the hex stripped or are the case threads messed up?

yeah, I will tear it down completely to inspect everything

Now I am confused about what is wrong….
1) The bolt threads (male) are bad
2) The case threads (female) are bad
3) The corners on the hex head of the bolt or nut are rounded off.

I am guessing you meant 1 or 2 in the original post.

Please clarify what the problem is with the pictures when you post them.

Pretty sure its #3. The first time I tried to get the strainer off I didn't have a metric that big so I tried the monkey wrench. It would've done the same. But I ended up buying a large socket at NAPA. It's kind of a weird size that you'd probably never use otherwise.

Use a pipe wrench to get the filter out, and buy a new one, they are not that expensive.

The old gear box B7100 as the OP pictured just has a strainer screen with a big 26mm (or so) head. Between the case and the hex is a big banjo fitting where the UTF is the suction side of the hyd pump on the side of the engine. There is no spin on or cartridge filter.
