Hi everyone. I am brand new to tractors and picked up a '79 B7100 for a good price. It has a FEL and rear remote lines that someone added on. I purchased a 3 point hitch kit as it didn't come with anything but the lift arms on the tractor itself.

Does anyone have a good picture of how the arms, turnbuckles, etc are mounted on the tractor? I grabbed a 6' drag blade to use as counter weight. I would also like to add a blower or box blade down the road.

Thanks!

Here is a picture from my owners manual, Mine is a late model so I do not know if yours will be exactly the same. At least the picture gives the proper nomenclature for the various parts. Hope it helps.

There is a certain amount of variation in the configuration of these hitches, particularly where/how the tractor end of the turnbuckles attach.
In my pic, they connect to right angle pieces that are mounted on the bar. I also have had straight connector on the bar.
In ken erickson's pic, they connect to the drawbar hitch.
In the pic below, they connect to the bar, but a different way than the first pic.

Here's a pic from the B710 brochure:
(no turnbuckles, though)

I am in a similar situation here. Can anyone tell me what sort of PTO shaft I will need for my b7100? I seem to have a shaft from an implement that I’m told was used in this tractor but can’t seem to get it to connect, same number of splines but seems to have a lot of play and doesn’t lock into place. Seem that the teeth are 3/8” and there are 6 teeth. Is this standard?
