Hi all,
I've got all the components to swap my 2wd to 4wd and am going through the front axle on the bench before I find out it needs work on the tractor. I understand the diff and hub assemblies hold their oil independently from each other. When I took the knuckles off the axle cases between the diff and the knuckle were completely filled with grease. I figured there would be a bunch around the pins and the u joint but not the case completely full. What should the procedure be when I reassemble this after cleaning and new gears and seals? I'll of course pre lube all bearings, seals, and the knuckles; but should the whole case be full of grease or just give it a half a tube or so?

thanks

The front cases shouldn't have any grease in them, it should be UDT.

You can download the manual on kubotabooks.com for the b6200hst. Front axle is the same for hst or gear drive on the b6200. Gear oil in the differential case and outer gear cases/hub (3 seperate compartments) and grease in the axle housings
