So yesterday I took my b77 back hoe off to install box blade for the winter. After installing, the control for the loader went 'limp' and loader won't go up or down. I took the boot off for the controller and see the cables and traced them back to under the cab and I can see a lever move. The tilt function works, the 3pt will move up and down and appears to have sufficient hydraulic oil in reservoir. Also, I disconnected quick connects, cleaned and reinstalled on front of loader. There are no leaks and I didnt hear or experience anything abnormal...I've done this procedure many times in the last 9 years. Any ideas? Long weekend in Canada and closing camp for winter, no tractor is a pain point!

So the loader function went dead right after you switched some hoses while removing a backhoe? Don't you think you should revisit the hoses and connections involved with that?

Thank you. There is only one supply hose for the back hoe. It is connected properly with the back hoe off as the return supply line. The control lever going limp is more the mystery.

"Limp" yet it still operates the bucket? To me limp means mechanically disconnected. Can you see the loader valve and watch both spools move as the joystick is operated? Both levers in the diagram below should move - one operates the lift and the other operates the bucket.

Hi Dan, the joystick moves with no resistance front to back. It still works side to side to dump the bucket. I can see underneath the seat...difficult to see...but cable is still moving what it connects to, but maybe part 20 or 30 above diagram is broken. Guess I'll need to take the seat out and check it tomorrow

Cables connect to items 20 and 30 which are bell cranks and not likely to be broken but they could come unpinned from the spool.
