I had asked this on the FB group and got a smattering of responses so thought I’d try here too.
I have a new to me b1700 with 13HP at the PTO. Wondering what size blower I can use. I think 48 or 54 is the most ideal but considering 60 as there’s a good used one locally for a good price.

Will the little B1700 handle a 60”? Or should I wait for something smaller.

I’m in the snow belt off Georgian bay in Ontario.

What Transmission do you have? With 13 pto HP tractor data says HST.
With HST you can easily adjust the tractor speed to what the blower is handling.

With small machines I would suggest one just as wide as the outside of the rear wheel's track.

A 54" is about as large as you want.
A 60 will be too heavy and require too much HP.

If you commonly get very wet snow, I would stay in the 48" range.

N.Y,
I use a 48 inch on my BX2360 and wouldn't want anything larger. It has 17.7 pto hp and is working hard in anything over a foot. We get lake snow off Ontario and it will move 2 ft but very slowly.
