I am slowly researching and looking into the online used market for hydraulic front blades for my B2620. I am in NO hurry to purchase but want to be ready with a goal/plan when a good opportunity pops up here regionally on CL or FBMP during the coming offseason. I just completed the install on front third function capability so I definitely want a hydraulic blade that I can adjust the angle on. I am thinking 60in to keep it lighter and smaller for my relatively undersized machine (26hp).

I am a hobbyist user - nothing heavy duty. I plan to use it for snow occasionally, but I am in Hardy, VA in the South central VA mountains where snow is less and less common but still an issue with the driveway layout we have. In this capacity it needs a trip blade as my driveway has plenty of settling with raised edges. I also plan to use it for light gravel and dirt work but I am aware that my rear blade and rear box blade will be far superior in many of the dirt/gravel scenarios.

I am considering the Landpride STB0560 and the Kubota B2672/2673. I am also open to offbrands with similar capabilities - I have seen some from CID and others. These are the two leading candidates (stock images borrowed from the web)

Any thoughts from those of you out there who have navigated the same choice or have direct experience with these two models AS THEY RELATE TO THE B2### FAMILY OF TRACTOR'S? Any considerations that I might not be anticipating? Thanks!

I bought a WR Long blade with hydraulic angle and a poly edge. Very happy with the quality.

Thanks for the insights, but your tractor is almost twice as heavy and has almost twice the HP of mine, so whether you like a 7ft front blade or not has little bearing on my question.

Can we please keep this focused on feedback for the B2### series of tractors and these smaller lighter duty front hydraulic blades. Thanks!

You asked about other brands, I replied. I am sure WR long makes smaller blades as well.

I had the Kubota 2672 (IIRC) with hydraulic angle option for use with my B3350 and found it to be well made and suitable for my needs. I have no experience with the LP model.

FWIW, the Kubota blade uses dual hydraulic cylinders rather than a single cylinder as shown in the photo of the LP unit.

Kubota also offers a pre-fitted poly cutting edge for their blade which might be needed to protect asphalt. Be advised that the poly cutting edge wears quickly and is expensive.

If you find a used blade, be certain to verify that it has the needed skid shoes. A friend of mine bought a blade that was advertised on CL only to find that both skid shoes were missing.

Good advice. I am looking only for fully intact blades - all bits and pieces included. I will definitely need the skid shoes.
