Long story short. I was not pumping any fuel in my L4760. Discovered the line from the tank was plugged and blew it out and we're okay for the time being. .......but now what? Seems like cleaning the intake and tank is next but have no idea where to start. Anybody been here before?

You'll need to drain all the fuel, remove the crossover pipe then drop the LH tank and remove the pickup to completely clean it.

Second easier option, that might work. drain all the fuel, remove the cross over pipe and then use Electric fuel pump to circulate fuel into the tank via the pick up line.
Use a catch bucket under the cross over pipe.

Thank you Wolfman. Perfect little project for the season. Still dreading it but that could not be more clearly mapped out. I'll let you know how I do. Merry Christmas.

Well time for some follow up questions. Ended up sending the tractor to a local shop. Asked them to do as you suggested and they insisted that was not the problem. In three visits they replaced the water separator (twice) replaced the fuel line from the tank to the separator and did something called a tank wash. So now it runs fine but there is a persistent 1/2" to 3/4" air bubble at the top of the air separator. the shop says this is normal. Is it? Should I not worry?

No, it is not normal.
Did they replace the entire separator or the screen in the cup?
The entire separator. Twice
And they never did take the tank down and look at the pickup screen even though I requested it at all three visits.. So I'm pretty much back to where I was in December minus $2100. Problem has been diagnosed and solution suggested by the Wolfman and since I can't get anyone to do that guess I'm doing it myself. Don't want to turn this into a rant but this is a well known dealership. You pay your money seems like they should do what you request. Navigating the gap between the nice service rep and the shop techs is impossible these days.
