I'm building an implement that will use my Kubota 3rd-function. These are the 3rd-function ends:

I cannot decipher the markings on them to correlate with connectors to buy.

Is this the correct set to match them?

There's usually a part number stamped at the base of the fittings which will help you match up

Using Teflon tape on hydraulic fittings is not recommended. The tape can possibly get into the system and then cause problems. Here is a recommended product to replace the tape. You can find it on Amazon for about $7.

Yet teflon tape is standard practice in every Kubota service department and used by dealership technicians during new tractor assembly.....

I rhink the dangers of tape are way overstated but the anerobic liquid sealants are without a doubt way more convenient and easier to use.

Teflon tape is to be used on tapered threads, not straight threads or on flared fittings.

When you do use teflon tape, don't apply it to the first thread. Start the tape 1 thread back from the end to minimize the risk of thin strands of tape breaking off and getting into the hydraulic system.

My preference is Loctite 545.

Perhaps. I have a friend who is a Cat tech. and he says if you are caught using tape you're gone!

sealant: since I have some Nylog Blue on hand from a heat pump installation, the teflon tape can stay in it's drawer this time. I appreciate all the advice.

RectorSeal #5 is what I've used for tapered pipe threads since I worked in Ag Engineering at UC Davis back in the early 80s. Works well, works on steam stuff too.
