A Better Front Brush Guard Please!

i have a brand new L4701 with the LA765 loader. the front brush guard is really subpar, when grappling brush and logs, its wide open and allows branches to punch holes in the front of my tractor

Anyone know of an aftermarket guard to prevent this?

I looked around and was never able to find an aftermarket replacement.

I ended up doing as Flip pointed out. I should take a recent picture of it because you can see it has absorbed lots of hits.

Looks really good and very practical too. Something I must do, as I'm in the middle of a forests and when pushing up piles of branches, I'm sure it'll be just a matter of time before a stray limb pokes a hole in my radiator/grill assembly. So how did you guys fix this - mig or stick welder?

In my case, I MIG welded in the 5 flats and then the expanded metal to the back.

The additional horizontal bars look great, would certainly add strenght and help support the expanded metal. Another good mod from you!

Another option here, would require more time and material...I already lost my grill and headlights to a branch while grappling, so no big loss to block the headlights. I was also able to add two grab hooks and d-ring while I had the grill off.

I finally got my CNC back up and running and one of the first things I did was cut this out. Should get welded on within the next week.
