Probably wants you to send a small deposit to hold equipment as they are out of town till XX date… don’t do that. Cash and carry only.

They provide a 406 area code number which is weird. I'm tempted to call or text but I just know it's a scam. A new U48-5 with all of the features listed is in the $70k to $80k range. With the hydraulic thumb and angle blade and only 34 hours this should be listed for around $55k to $60k and maybe more.

Part of my suspicion is that the photos don't look at all like they were taken in Montana. 😂

Now this add is legit and priced accordingly. It's a newer and larger model, but it gives some idea as to what the other mini would be priced at. I've bought a number of trailers from these folks, and even though they aren't the cheapest outfit in town, they have a well-earned reputation as being a good company to deal with.

Talking of mini excavators, what do folks here think is high hours on a mini? I watch a number of YouTube channels where people have many thousands of hours on their excavators and although some or all of the pins need replacing, they seem to work just fine.

Yea most high hour mini's still have a lot of life in them, it's just not something you would want to do production task with as they would be prone to break downs.
But for casual use they are great!
