I have a L3901 when putting in higher gear, 3rd or 4th it slowly moves but picks up a little speed. 1st and 2nd starts a little faster. Feels like to me that the clutch may not be disingaging all the way. Help would be appreciated on identifying the issue.

I would start with the clutch pedal adjustment, and hope that’s all it needs.
How many hours are on it?

Definitely don’t keep letting it “move and pick up some speed” you’re just burning the clutch up more.

Thanks for the help!!!! It has 229 hrs on it. I just adjusted it and it works great now!!!! Though I am curious how this happened since I’ve never messed with the linkage before.

As the clutch wears down, adjustment is required. With that few hours, it sounds like you slip the clutch a lot, you probably need to change your driving habit :) .

According to the manual, the clutch should be adjusted at 50 hours and
then every 100 hours after that. If it was never adjusted, that was the problem.
