I purchased a HeavyHitch model. Requires removing the fracture ball mount plate and using those four bolts to mount the HH in place. Ran into an issue yesterday. Could not remove the four bolts. 1/2" drive ratchet. No go. Broke out the 18" Crescent style wrench. No go. My truck wheels require 140 lb ft of torque. It felt like I was far exceeding that amount of torque before deciding to stop. Then a thought hit my old brain last night. Are they right hand threads(clockwise to tighten)? See no reason for left hand threads. But you never know.

Thinking about returning the HH model and maybe trying the lower priced BXpanded "quick on" model or just try one of those bars that attach to three point lower link arms. Opinions, experience with my options to the HH.
Factory plate is too low for my needs. Guessing would need a minimum of at least 12" ball mount height. The old NH ball was at 17". Plan was to just use the spare 8" drop and flip it giving me the 6" of needed rise.

The threads are not left handed.

I use the BXpanded "quick on" model and therefore it’s easy on, easy off.

This is what I use and am very happy with it.
Have the QH05 quick attach. Your option might be how I go. Price is reasonable, but would require removing the QH and reattaching when needed unless modifying the top link/hook pin. Original plan was just to slide in the ball mount into the receiver when needed. Going to give those bolts another go after I finish the last section of fence post install this afternoon.

I'm not familiar with the heavy hitch. I simply put a 2" ball on the factory drawbar - the solid steel bar that slides in under the tractor's rear. It can't flop up and down like a ball mounted via the three-point.

They're just four bolts with nuts underneath. Worst-case scenario, you put way too much torque to one, and sheer it off. Problem solved, it's out of the way, replace it with a generic bolt and go from there. Before trying again, whack each head hard with a hammer a few times as that percussive shock often loosens rust-stuck parts. Mine weren't too hard to remove after being in there for 8+ years. A 6" rise on my hitch and the resulting ball height works well for my trailer.

28 2/3" spread needed to use the QH05 and the above linked 3pt receiver. Nice price for the narrower model. The wider model is priced similar to the BXpand quick on model.

New tractor. Only 3rd day of ownership. Hopefully not corroded bolts. Will try a few hits with the dead blow hammer to see if the nuts loosen.
