1" Coil Rod

I ordered some nuts for these rods. I'm gonna build some adjustable stands I can put on the shop floor, for use under lengths of steel...for leveling and whatnot.
I'm also thinking about making some type of Vise system, or bar-clamp.
What might you use the Coil Rod for, tractor related?

I've seen several of them made from a more standard threaded rod. The stuff I have seems like it would be aggressive and better suited.
I don't know. BUT I do know I never heard of coil rod before.
Interesting product. Faster and better for concrete forms than all thread. Other uses probably as well...
Thanks for increasing my awareness of products available today. Being retired I seem to live a sheltered life...
This stuff I found one day at the scrap yard. At first, I thought it was rebar. One of the workers there mentioned it was threaded. That's when I grabbed all 19 of the 6ft sticks. It's a new discovery for me aswell!

I thought maybe coil rod was another name for threaded rod until I googled it. Def lends itself to project use!

Envision, for one thing. Make a Vise. Bench, free-standing, for use in a hitch receiver.
I used three of the coil rods to support two sections of 6x12 temporary fence panels. I cut one end of each, to have somewhat of a spire point, then drove them down through about 8" of 3" (crushed) quarry rock. Then I stainless zip-tied the panels to them. Very useful. Solid
We used plastic concrete forms for making precast parking lot light bases where I worked. They had coil bolts and nuts for joining the forms. The coarse thread tolerated some concrete being splashed on them. We used Liquid Hammer for cleaning the forms and hardware. 55 gallon drums were a bit pricey, but very much worth it to us.

The company I worked for had many form adjusters. Coil rod was incorporated into the design as the adjustment between the form end that had nail holes on the plate and the stake end that had a 1" hole for driving a 3/4" steel stake through it. You could really dial in footing and wall forms with them.
