I am new to this forum and I have a brand new to me 1977 Kubota B7100.

I have a question about a part of the gear shifter. It doesn't look like the other B7100's I have seen. The guy I bought it from said it was an auxillary hydraulic pump. I thought it was that too, but now I have doubts.

Here is the tractor.

Here is the "Hydraulic Pump"

A Close up:

There is a quick connect on the top of the "pump" and it runs back to and connects under the seat. I am at a loss as to what this is suppose to be used for. I have searched the internet and haven't seen another with this option. Any ideas?

Thanks, Jay

I am disappointed that no one has replied. Either the answer is too easy or nobody knows. I guess I will push on try to find out more information about the 7100.

Thanks!

yep it is an odd one, looks most certainly as a 3rd party acc.
on first sights i though it was one of those " creeper gearbox add-on" which i have seen on several B6000 and 7100 etc, but the hyd cnnections look odd, unless its creeper box with forced lubicration, otherwise there would be no way of oil getting to it unless it was via some sort of feed from the top and then back to the sump, then back to the hyd lift pump and so forth.

As i say it does look very much like a creeper, but cany see how you could select diff ratio????

odd one, but cool;)

thanks for that link dave, you are the ott search guru for today;)

Yep as i thought though along with the lubrication, one came up on ebay a while with a b6000, i was very tempted to buy it but, as normal, missed out.
i'd still buy one if it came along.

cheers

Thank you everyone, this is awesome! I am planning on using this tractor to run a 48 inch tiller, I am sure these gears will come in very handy!

The tractor has a rebuilt engine in it and I am excited for many years of service. It has been taken very good care of. The prior owner has had it for several years, but just got two more larger tractors and his wife told him he had to get rid of one.

Thanks again, I know I will be back with more questions.

A couple of questions.

1) The quick connect hose is disconnected, should I always leave it connected or can I leave it unconnected unless I am using the creeper gear.

2) What shift pattern does using this require. Do I put the shifter in first, then pull the lever up on the creeper gear? Or do I leave in in neutral and pull the lever up to put it in creeper gear.

Thanks!
