I made a loose fitting cover for my L3800 out of a retired 14’x48’ billboard sign.

The sign has a sleeve on each end. I slid a piece of pvc pipe in the sleeve and drilled two holes to attach bungee cords.

I added some grommets for the bungee cords.

Just unhook the bungees and the pvc pipe makes it easy to pull off. It also makes it easier to put on because it prevents the tarp from twisting.

I’m not worried about moisture accumulation. I’m more worried about the sun. I live in the rainiest city in the United States. You can’t get away from the humidity. And in case you were wondering, there’s a ole big plate of fried chicken on the other side.
