Howard Rotavator 300

Howard is considered an excellent tiller here in the US. According to the specs here: the model you are considering requires 35-40 PTO HP . . so it might be too much for the L3901 . . . someone smarter than me will be along with something to add shortly . .

FWIW . . I recently purchased a Kuhn EL53-190 (74") tiller to run with my L3800 HST . . . According to Kuhn it requires 32 PTO HP, the L3800HST has 30PTO HP available . . . I would have gotten the 60"Kuhn but I could not pass up the deal I got (used twice and a stupid good price) . . It works the L3800 pretty hard . . I am considering removing the set of tines on the left outside . . something you could do if you purchase the Howard at a good price.

I was a little concerned with the pto hp, but it's currently being used on an old ford 600 and I'm going to use it in fairly light soil, so it shouldn't be a problem but I like the idea of removing a tine if I have any problems, thanks for that.

If you have lighter soil and you can get it for a good price then I would jump on it. Howard shares the top of the tiller mountain with Sicma (Phoenix) and Kuhn, with Landpride close behind. FWIW, the soil here in Central New Yorkistan is heavy with a lot of clay in it.
