I'd like to use my kubota gr 2120 to till my garden and some other yard chores , I've not found a sleeve hitch. I'm understanding kubota doesn't produce one and it appears the after market ones I've found aren't wide enough to fit on the 19" reat frame. Any suggestions or options? My cultivator is an old pin hitch style you drag behind and and would manually lift

I know it's not what you asked about... but it's my understanding that the GR wasn't meant to be "Ground Engaging." The trans may not be up for it. I know that was something I was asking about before I bought my tractor. And because if that, I went for a BX.

With that said... if you post up a picture of the implement you want to hitch up... maybe we can give some suggestions on how to build a hitch.

Found a picture of a homemade hitch on the GR. But, I don't think there is a Kubota unit because of my comments above.

There is a distinct reason Kubota doesn't make a hitch for it, it's not meant or recommended for it.

Your very likely to just burn the HST up trying to use it as a Garden tractor.

The HST Unit on that tractor is in the 4.5K range to replace if I remember right.

Johnny Products make a universal hitch http://www.johnnyproducts.com/J_Bucket_HTMs/UNI_Sleeve_Hitch.htm But as others have said it is a light duty machine. I wouldn't go too far out of its ranges for too long or you'll be paying at the repair shop. Anyway good luck let us know what you do and how well it is working.

Thank ya fellas! I'm tossing the idea around now whether I should keep after it or not based on the comments I certainly don't want cause damage. None the less I'm looking at pulling an old cultivator attachment across sod basically so I think she'll handle it. So so post ideas if ya have them and again thanks!

I have a pin hitch that attaches to this so I can drag with the gr2120. The sleeve hitch idea was so I can raise and lower

If you don't have a manual I will look at mine to see how much weight you can lift if you don't think you will hurt it pulling it that cultivator around. I know the front end is rated to pick up the snowblower which has got to be at least 250 pounds but I'm not too sure about the rear end. I would imagine something the same. If that thing gets caught on some rocks or roots could take quite a toll on that transmission. Be very cautious.
