Hi Folks, well another DIY man cave session this weekend on the BX2370 and I now have motorized shoot deflector and rotator. The deflector I picked up off ebay for $52. Its basically a 12v, 3" travel with no elec limit switches, just a ball bearing/spring type drive that slips when the limit is reached. I watch not to drive it to the limits....ever.
The rotator is a 12v motor/gearbox assembly (again with no limit switches) that my buddy salvaged off an old Siemens Xray table. I welded a bolt onto the sprocket and inserted it into the existing worm screw on the blower, welded up a mounting plate, bent up some 1/16" stainless sheeting for a snow cover and a bit of "magic orange" paint. Got a couple DPDT momentary switches with rubber covers on ebay for $7. First try this morning, 20cm snow fall, worked great. Next is another LED light for the front cab and possibly some sort of cab heater.
Cheers from snowy NB, Canada
