What is the best way to hook in a temp gage sender on the B7100 750D? I looked all over for extra port plugs, but had no luck, not even for oil. So I plan to hook the oil pressure sender into a T on the warning light sensor port. But what about the water temp? I would prefer not to compromise the tanks of the radiator. I could make a sleeve for the radiator hose, or maybe try to put a bung in the upper hose neck on top of the head. But I was hoping I missed a better way of tapping into the water jacket without actually having to add a tap into the water jacket...

A lot depends on what cooling setup you have on your unit, pressurized & pumped or thermosiphon .

All of my b7100's etc (well D750,850 and 950's 70mm series engines )have been the pumped flavour.
I purchased a reasonably priced 12v gauge and which came with the correct sender matched to the gauge.
mounted the gauge in the dash where the hour meter normally fits, removed the blanking plug from the thermostat housing and fitted the sender in its place, had to use a thread reducer though as the sender thread was smaller, but simple task.
connected the meter to the wiring loom for 12v power and nighttime illumination, job done.
works great :D

Thanks for the pics and information.

Unfortunately, mine is a thermo siphon and does not have a t-stat housing, and no port for installing the thermocouple as indicated.

The in-hose on the other thread looks promising, and I've seen that before. Was hoping for a cleaner/better in-block solution.

I didn't see a block drain, but probably overlooked it, will look again.

Thanks!

This site has both the in-line temperature gauge adapters and oil pressure/temperature port adapters. This is the link to the oil pressure adapter.

Not sure if the oil adapters will work with the filters on Kubota's but this site has good customer service so they will answer your questions.
