Whos got a backhoe on 185?

Run as far as you can from a 3 point mount. I could show you pics of what happens when it comes loose, but this is a family site and NIH doesn't like pics of blood and guts. If you're insistent, be aware that they are extremely dangerous and that the L185 is such a light tractor that a hoe is going to throw the little tractor around like a ragdoll, if it doesn't flat break it's little weak transmission and axle housing(s).

I have a B7100 with the B670 backhoe that was designed for the B7100.
My tractor is smaller than the 185, and the hoe is pretty teeny, and very anemic compared to modern hoes. Having said all that, the hoe has its own sub frame, which is attached to the subframe for the B219 FEL, which attaches to the front and rear of the tractor, tying it all into one pretty solid unit. I think anything less than all this rigidity is just asking for something to break.

The Woods 3 point backhoes can be converted to subframe fairly easy. It's a great backhoe attachment, but yes, used as a 3 point there is a potential for significant damage to the tractor.
I have a Kubota backhoe (built by Woods) that I am looking at building a subframe for on my L245. I have an FEL with subframe, so I need to extend it to the rear with a bar that will engage hooks on the BH. The Woods BH frame is adaptable.

My 185 has a FEL on it, I could tie the backhoe to the fel frame mount. That would take the stress off the back half of the tractor. But wasn't there a mount that goes on the back of the tractor besides the 3pt hitch?

Here is the mounting scheme on the B670/B7100.
2 frame rails with 1" bar between them.
Rails attach at the front to the FEL subframe with connectors.
2 plates mount to the differential pumpkin using longer bolts.
1" bar locates in the notches in the plates.
