A new novice here. I have a L3130 with 900 hrs. Bought the tractor recently and changed all fluids, then used for about 30 hours. Today while clipping the oil light came on and it took a gallon to top off level. Ran for another 15 minutes and although the oil light didn’t come back on, the oil barely touched the bottom of the stick. The motor appears to have very fresh oil on the front. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your talking motor oil right. 
Most common is the oil filter is not seated.
All I can say is find the leak, check the PLUGS too!

Yes, motor oil leak. Hope it’s that simple. I’ll look closer tomorrow with day light. Thanks for your suggestion. Bill
No apparent leak at filter or plugs. But from where the oil is and from conversation with nearby K dealer, it may be the front engine seal. That will send a field mechanic to assess. Thanks..
