Well, not really that old but you get the idea. Traded my B3300 with FEL and BH77 for a new L4701 with FEL and BH92. I had briefly considered an L3901 but was afraid the difference wouldn't be enough so I went from the largest B to the largest L.

I'm pretty sure I'll easily be able to tell the difference. Do I need a tractor this big? Moving dirt and digging with the backhoe, yes. Mowing... well it will be overkill but you can never have too much hp, right?

Never too big. I want an M7-151 but my wife nixed that. Could be the 170 grand price tag.:)

The tractor was on the dealer lot with R4 tires but I wanted R1 so the owner ordered another L4701 without tires and the salesman ordered the R1 tires and wheels through Kubota wholegoods. I got the tires I wanted and it reduced the price of the tractor. The R1 tires have a standard width footprint of 62 inches so I thought I'd be able to make due with the 60" 3 point implements I have. But, installing the BH caused the need to widen the rear by 5". I'll see how things work but may upgrade to larger finish mower, box blade and disc harrow in the future.

Nice tractor! I like the L4701, although it seems most people bypass that for an MX which is very similarly sized and priced.
