Three Huskies and a like-new electric Craftsman I bought at the thrift store. Used the Husky extendable pole saw today.

If you are having problems finding ethanol free gas go to any marina or airport that services small piston powered aircraft, ask for 100 low lead. At either place it will be more expensive than at the gas station but that is minor problem to the use of ethanol in your fuel.

10 year old Poulan Woodshark. Did some tuning and changed out the fuel one and filter and it***8217;s been very good. I use it for my ***8220;dirty saw***8221; stumps and such. From there I picked up a Jonsered 2250 with an 18***8221; bar. World of difference from the Poulan. Last year I picked up a Huskie 435 for $150, Refurbed. It***8217;s really been good and my go to saw.

I drug in some two foot + red oak bolts to saw up for stove wood. Grabbed the McCulloch Pro Mac 10-10 to whittle down the lengths.

Positively ripped through those rounds. Too heavy to carry far from the pile though.
I do enjoy that barking exhaust note. In these days of 50:1 mix oils, I worry about the old gal needing 32:1. ;-)

I tend to prefer Husqvarna. I bought a new Stihl KM130R and had fairly major problems with it, eventually resulting in a new unit being given to me under warranty, which I still have. The attachments have had issues as well. Here's my list:

Husky 562XPG saw
Husky MZ-T52 zero turn mower w/ Kawasaki FS651 engine
Husky 525 straight-shaft trimmer
Husky 535 straight-shaft trimmer
Husky 524 split-shaft trimmer with Honda 4-stroke engine
Husky 122HD hedge trimmer
Husky 580BTS backpack blower (2x of these)

I've got a fair amount of other small engine equipment, but for someone who never even liked Husqvarna, I'm pretty much a total convert at this point. Great luck with all of this, even though there is no dealer in town.

Cut up a maple I had pushed over while a guy was here with his excavator.
Felt good to run both the saws, and run the gas out for winter.
Gave them both a sharpening before putting away.

3 Stihl's and a Tanaka arborist, top handle saw. 028 Wood Boss, 056 and 075 with a 4 foot bar. Tanaka (Mikata) has a 12" trim bar. 325 pitch on the 2 smaller saws, 1/8" lo pro on the Tanaka and .404 skip tooth, flat tooth cross cut ripper on the 075 (takes serious power for that).

I leave gas in them all winter. Stihl pre-mix has stabilizer in it, but then I use them in the winter once in a while. Same with my FS66 brush trimmer. Gas all winter, never an issue.

Use Stihl engine oil (pre-mix) and Husky bar oil (when it's on sale, buy a couple gallons).

Been tempted to buy one of those electric jobs (with the rechargeable battery) but I haven't. With my good luck, the battery would die about half way through a cut.

Besides, I'm not very 'green' in the first place.
