My trans leak came to around $1000. The parts were $56.00 and the rest was labor, besides $28 in shop supplys
Dealer said the leak is covered under the drive train warranty but, I am responsible for 25% or $250.00.
If I trade up to a new tractor he will eat the $250.00

I can not find anything in my Kubota warranty pamphlet about 25%.. anyone else have experience with this?

If I remember correctly ....there was a $250 deduct on all warranty work.
However - that may have changed in the last 6 years.

EDIT..... I was wrong about WARRANTY work.....should be zero....

I had in my head .....the KTAC coverage....that has a deductible, I think that was the $250......
but warranty while damn near new should be ZERO !!!!!!!!

Sounds like the same scam Polaris just pulled on me. Bought a new ATV, it's a lemon, had some warranty work done and they charged me $56 to use the warranty.

I don’t mind if it is, it’s a small amount compared to the claim. I just can’t find anything in writing in the warranty book.

It there is a deductible, it must be clearly stated in the warranty.

If it isn't in there, it isn't in there.

Doesn’t sound right to me either. In the auto world (ford and Mazda is what I deal with) bumper to bumper warranty is 3yr/36,000 miles. Powertrain is 5 yr/60,000 miles, plus emission warranty and restraints warranty that is 8yr/80,000 miles. None of which have a deductible. Only time the customer pays a deductible is if they have an extended warranty and the repair isn’t covered under one of the factory warranties. Our typical extended warranty deductible is $100.

Just read my warranty book cover to cover, no deductible.

Kubota 2019 warranty, on line, has no deductible either.

I did again also. There’s nothing about any deductible. I will call Kubota in the morning and ask about it. I like this dealer ,but don’t want the run around.

Your posted docs are too small, can't read any of it.

Wow 2 shipping charges, and $2 for grease.
I noticed that.

$2.00 for grease? What is "Shop Supplies?"

UPS shipping is easily avoided by ordering parts on stock orders. One wonders how your parts were ordered.

There's a reason they call them "stealers" LOL.

You really need to "babysit" your invoices nowadays.

It's amazing how many charges I get removed from my invoices, no questions asked, but then you think about how many people they sting that aren't paying attention.

Shop supplies, probably rags, hand cleaner, paper for the invoice. Somebody sits in an office and thinks of every little thing.

Everything "used during an authorized repair" is covered per warranty book.

Definitely talk with Kubota. It does appear you have a "stealer" on your hands.

Sounds like this dealer has a warranty business model which might not fit Kubota warranty.

I'm in agreement with Flip. Shops use towels/gloves/grease/wd40 etc so why would they eat the cost when you're the customer that made them use it. Otherwise they'd just up their hourly rate by x amount to cover it.

Of course I know what "shop supplies" is intended to cover, and grease from a grease gun falls into that category.

By the way, they have already increased their hourly rate to cover whatever. I know of none that have not.

Re: Drive Train warranty,,, we lay 25%??

I'm not complaining about the bill. I was told when I dropped the tractor off it would all be covered. Now the owner said warranty only pays flat rate and don***8217;t cover the entire claim in most cases. I asked him if I bought the same tractor from him if this would have been covered.. he said yes. also , if I traded in mine and bought a new unit he would disregard the invoice.

I called Kubota , they said there warranty dont work this way. They instructed me to call the dealer and push back and see where it goes. I was told the same by the owner.

They said I owe nothing and wanted copies of everything. They have the District manager involved now.
