Quick background: I bought the tractor with a bad motor. After an exhaustive search for a v1702 or v1902 in good condition, I settled for a low hour v2203.
Now the problem: the injection pump cam must be changed to a shaft with the splined end to operate the hydraulic pump. I swapped in the shaft from the v1702, but it the lobes seem to have a smaller base circle resulting in less lift. With the injection pump installed, pump lifters don't make contact with the cam except near the top of the lobe. I didn't take note of the fit prior to removing the original v2203 cam.
I would appreciate any comments / suggestions to help me over this hurdle.
